Bumblebee Nails

In honor of the beautiful, sunny weather this weekend, I did these bumblebee nails.
The base color is NYC Lexington Yellow.  It wasn't the easiest polish to work with.  It took 3 coats and it still didn't cover as perfectly as I would have liked.  But I love the soft yellow color.  And with the black stripes (Wet n Wild Black Creme) you can't see the imperfections.

This was done with cheeky stamp CH6.

Brisk Blue Swatch

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Brisk Blue.  I loved this color.  Couldn't stop looking at my nails.

Julep Leah Swatch

Leah is such a pretty Kelly green.  I really love this polish!

Glitter All The Way Swatch

I covered Nfu Oh JS34 with China Glaze - Glitter All The Way.  I really like the way it turned out.

I love this color! It did take a lot of coats and there was still VNL after 4 or 5. But, for me, the beautiful, squishy shine makes it worth it.
The color also happens to match one of my favorite rings perfectly!

Dot Manicure

I gave dots a try. This is Essie - Miss Fancy Pants and Skirting the Issue.
I think this actually looks better in the photos than real life. I liked the gray based nails best.

Half Moon

I tried to do a half moon but it looks more like halfway between French tip and half moon. Still, I really like the color combination. Opi - My Very First Knockworst and Essie - Sole Mate.

First Stamping

Next I decided to stamp over the previous manicure. I used a white polish then covered everything in a clear glitter. I think it's pretty good for a first try.

I used Cheeky plate 52.

Edits to First Manicure

Once I got bored with my first manicure I coved all but the accent nails with China Glaze 'For Audrey'. I think this color is do pretty.

Then I decided the glitter didn't blend in very well, so I mixed some For Audrey with clear polish to make it more jelly-like and covered the glitter. See close up of the thumb. I love the way it turned out.

Blue gel with Glitter Accent

I used Gelish polish 'Up In The Blue' on all nails. Then I added glitter accent nails using Milani 'Teal' glitter polish.
